Pharmacy & Prescriptions

Small In-House Pharmacy
The Telluride Medical Center maintains a small in-house pharmacy. The pharmacy stocks a limited amount of medications for dispensing when the local pharmacy is not open.
Patient Medications Billing
Patients should be aware that many insurance companies will not reimburse for oral medications dispensed from our pharmacy.
Emergency Medications
Telluride Medical Center maintains a full stock of emergency medications to address the needs of our Emergency Department patients.
Prescription Refill Policy
Plan Ahead
Telluride Medical Center's Primary Care seeks to aid our patients with their prescription refill needs in a timely manner. We strive to fill prescriptions on the day we receive the request. However, it may take 24 hours to process your request.
If you have not been seen by your healthcare provider at the medical center in the past six months we may defer the refilling of your medication. You will be asked to make an appointment with your provider before your prescription can be filled.
Please Note
Narcotic medication refills may require an appointment. The emergency department will not refill prescriptions for narcotics.
