Billing and Payment Information for Patients of Telluride Hospital District

Thank you for supporting the Telluride Medical Center!  The tax support of local residents and property owners has allowed us to improve services and meet the healthcare needs of all who need care in the Hospital District. Our Level V Trauma Center designation recognizes our commitment and success in providing 24 hour Emergency Care services for the Telluride area. Your support, through local taxes, helps make this possible.

The Telluride Medical Center contracts with the following insurances:

  • Aetna- PPO
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield- PPO plans-PRIMARY CARE ONLY
  • CIGNA
  • CNIC
  • Cofinity
  • Colorado Medicaid
  • Great West Healthcare
  • Medicare
  • Rocky Mountain Health Plans
  • UnitedHealthCare and it's affiliates

 

If your insurance is not on the above list

We will submit your claim(s) as a courtesy but expect payment in full at time of service. If your insurance pays TMC instead of you, a refund will be issued within 2 weeks of receiving the payment.

 

If you do not have health care insurance

We offer the following options to assist you in paying charges for services. 

  • You are eligible for a discount if all charges are paid at the time of service by cash, check or credit card.
  • A payment plan can be set up.
  • If you have limited income, you may be eligible for a sliding fee scale. Please ask our staff for more information.
