Every day our Primary Care clinic and Emergency Department use our x-ray machine to diagnose and treat patients with everything from broken bones to intestinal blockages. Whether it be an injury on the ski hill or more acute internal conditions, TMC’s radiology team is here 24/7 to provide fast and accurate medical imaging to our community.
Over the last 12 months, we have performed 3,150 x-rays. During the ski season, we regularly perform 15 or more x-rays a day!
Our current machine has served us well over the past 17 years old (the average lifespan is 10) and has performed more than 40,000 x-rays in that time. We are purchasing new machine in preparation for the upcoming winter season which requires a $300,000 capital investment to remodel the x-ray room and install the new equipment. Construction will begin in early October with the completion date anticipated in mid-November.
