Dr. Mahoney is a native Vermonter whose interest in family medicine reflects her passion for people and their stories. She provides comprehensive osteopathic family medicine care, from birth-to-earth and believe that outcomes improve when patients and families are empowered by and engaged in their health care and decision making. Combining traditional with progressive, Dr. Mahoney works with each patient to create their individualized care plan to not only diagnose and treat disease, but find and promote health.

Since completing residency 5 years ago, she worked for one year in a small town private practice, then 4 years at a large publicly funded community health center doing full spectrum family medicine including outpatient care, obstetrical and inpatient care. In search of a practice model change and improved work-life balance, Dr. Mahoney started looking for a new job and community to raise her children. It was synchronicity that TRMC was looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Mahoney has been enamored by Colorado’s dramatic landscapes and kind people since a she was a teenager. Her husband and and she fell in love with Telluride in 2014 when they joined friends for the Bluegrass Festival. “Telluride’s sense of community, positivity and energy is palpable. Telluride seems like that village in the motto ‘it takes a village.”

Look for Dr. Mahoney outdoors spending time with her husband and children, doing just about anything outside, seeing live music, singing and traveling.
