Play for P.I.N.K Adds New Summer Event to Fundraising Effort
With the 12th annual Play for P.I.N.K. Golf Tournament, planned for July 30, already sold out, organizers have added a Rosé tasting event to the schedule. The PINK Patio Party, hosted by the Telluride Ski & Golf Resort at the Tomboy Tavern, will include over 30 global wines to taste and hors d’oeuvres from the Tomboy Tavern. The event is scheduled for July 28, from 3 - 5p.m. Tickets for the PINK Patio Party are $30 and available at the door.
As is with the golf tournament, proceeds will directly benefit breast cancer research and the Telluride Medical Center Foundation’s preventive health fund.
Play for P.I.N.K (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology and Knowledge) uses lifestyle and sporting events to raise funds for breast cancer research and the Telluride Medical Center Foundation’s Preventive Health Fund.
Each year more than 100 golfers and volunteers show up for the Play for P.I.N.K. Golf Tournament. To date, Play for P.I.N.K. has raised $122,000 for breast cancer research and $136,000 for the Telluride Medical Center Foundation.
“It’s a real community affair,” said Kate Wadley, director of the Telluride Medical Center Foundation. “Each year we sell out faster, have more sponsors, more volunteers and raise more money.”
