If your insurance is not in network with the Telluride Regional Medical Center we will submit your claim(s) as a courtesy to you and will ask for payment at time of service.

Since Telluride Regional Medical Center is out of network with your insurance company they often times will pay the patient directly.

If your insurance company pays Telluride Regional Medical Center instead of you, a refund will be issued within 2 weeks of receiving the payment.
No Coverage
If you do not have health care insurance we offer the following options to assist you in paying charges for services :

You are eligible for a discount if all charges are paid within a month by cash, check or credit card.

A payment plan can be set up.

If you have limited income, you may be eligible for a sliding fee scale. Please ask our staff for more information.
If you are not covered by health insurance, you are strongly encouraged to contact our Billing department, 1-888-862-6085 , to discuss payment options prior to receiving services from our healthcare facilities, as posted prices may not reflect the actual amount of your financial responsibility.

Understanding your bill.
The price of health services for any given service is an estimate. The actual charges are dependent on a number of factors from the specific service received, the level of service, the overall health of the patient, and the contract that your insurance company might have with our facility. The the American Medical Association CPT Professional Codebook with rules and guidelines is used for determining the level of service for provided when receiving care at Telluride Regional Medical Center.
If you have health insurance, we encourage you to consult with your health insurance to determine accurate information about your financial responsibility.

Payment at the time of service is an estimate. From time to time, adjustments are made based on the services provided. If an adjustment is made, you will either receive a bill or a refund for the difference.
