Dr. Gloria Beim, MD

Dr. Gloria Beim is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. She is also fellowship trained in shoulder surgery, knee surgery, arthroscopy and sports medicine. She began college at the age of 14 earning her M.D. at the University of California at San Diego. Her Orthopaedic credentials were earned at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She then completed her sports medicine, knee, shoulder and arthroscopy fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Sports Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Beim founded Alpine Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine & Regional Hand Center, located on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies in 1999 and holds clinics at three different locations: Gunnison, Crested Butte, and Telluride.
In April of 2006 Alpine Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine & Regional Hand Center opened its doors to its new 11,000 sq.ft., state-of-the-art facility, including Alpine Surgery Center, Gunnison County’s first ambulatory surgery center.
Dr. Beim was Venue Medical Director at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. Dr. Beim was honored to be the Chief Medical Office for the Team USA at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. In 2015, she was selected to be the Chief Medical Officer for the Parapan Games in Toronto. Most recently, Dr. Beim was chosen to be the Chief Medical Officer for the 2016 Paralympics in Rio De Janeiro.

Elisabeth M. Scalva, MD
Elisabeth M. Scalva, MD is a Native Coloradoan who was born and raised in the Denver area. She earned her B.A. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005. After two years at Massachusetts General Hospital performing research, she returned to Colorado and attended the University of Colorado, School of Medicine and earned her medical degree in 2013. Dr. Scalva completed her Residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina.

Dr. C. Kelly Bynum specializes in knee and shoulder surgery, arthroscopy, and sports medicine.
Board certified in Sports Medicine, as well as, General Orthopaedics by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, surgeon Dr. C. Kelly Bynum joined Western Slope Orthopaedics in 2006 after working in Grand Junction. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to the knee and shoulder joints.

Dr. Singh joined Western Slope Orthopedics in 1998 after completing his training at the University of Colorado. Relocating to Montrose with his wife, a Family Practice doctor, has allowed Dr. Singh to provide care in all aspects of Orthopedics. He has extensive experience in treating sports-related injuries, fractures, and joint disorders from the fingertips to the hips.
Dr. Singh has traveled around the world teaching and learning how to best treat orthopedic conditions during numerous medical mission trips. He most recently traveled to Mongolia, where he helped the staff care for complex trauma and joint replacement cases.
In a similar way, Dr. Singh is a jack-of-all-trades in his personal life. He keeps busy coaching soccer and keeping his three active sons organized. When he has a free moment, you will likely see him out biking, snowboarding, climbing, or hiking with his family.
