At Telluride Regional Medical Center, we love our furry friends. Unfortunately pets and medical facilities aren’t an ideal match.

Healthcare protocols dictate that only service animals are allowed in any med center building.  A service animal is one that assists a person who is physically impaired, including seeing-eye, hearing-ear, physical assistance, and seizure-detection animals. Even then, certain exclusions may apply, particularly in our emergency and radiology departments, or when infection control procedures must be adhered to.

No other pets, including emotional support animals, are permitted in the facility under any circumstance.

Please plan accordingly for your next visit. If your pet is with you when you arrive, we will ask that you leave them outside away from any doorways or thoroughfares. Luckily, we have ample patio and garden space that can provide your pet with a good place to relax while you are in the clinic.
